    Default Bernina 830 question

I am new here to this site and not sure if this is where i need to be, hopefully some one could direct me to the correct place or if not just be able to give me some answers to my question...and that is...
I just purchased a Bernina 830 privately and am going thru what was in the package. This machine was purchased 2009-2010 originally. should there have been three embroidery hoops-large med and small,a DVD guide, and (Art Design software included with the machine or is the software a seperate purchase? ) Any help with this will be great...i can call the original owner back, but I would like to know for sure this is what needs to still be added to the purchase...Thanks

Art design software is separate. I don't remember about the hoops. I know I purchased the mega hoop. Think I also purchased another. Enjoy!

Sorry, I can't give you an answer, but you should be able to figure it out by visiting the Bernina site and checking what is included when you purchase a machine.

Artlink is a free, downloadable software.

Did you get the original owners manual for the 830?? That should tell you what came with the Bernina originally. Mine is older than yours, a 1530 and I love it still.

The 830 is not for the faint of heart. It is a machine that only likes to do one task at a time. When you are threading it wait until the machine stops its bumps and grinds before continuing. Don't try to thread it while you are winding a bobbin, etc. Many people blame the machine for various problems but it is mostly user error. It is also fussy about what thread is used. But with all that, I have the 830 and love it!

If you are on Face Book there is a site called Bernina Lovers where you can get answers to most everything you need to know about your new Bernina. Welcome to the Bernina club! You are going to love her.
