    2 1/2 in binding sewn to the back, pressed seam, then turn and clip down with those red clips. This way I can see my back seam so I can sew my front seam on top of it.

    I just saw a tip from wendy sheppherd at ivory spring, she does a zigzag stitch all around the quilt (after squaring the quilt) and before she puts the binding on. She says it has made a big difference in her binding being smooth. I'm going to try it with my next binding!

    Download the Missouri quilt app, great binding help on there as well as all sorts of other things.
