I have used batting tape or zigzags to splice pieces of batting, but I am wondering if/how to combine smaller pieces and strips of Insul-Brite into a larger one. Or, should I just pin the pieces really close together. The resulting larger piece would mainly be used for table runners and potholders.

i never thought of using insulbright in table runners... good idea. if i were to choose, i'd zig zag the pieces together

Great idea to use insulbrite for table runners. Yes, I think I'd zigzag the pieces together.

I normally fuse my batting pieces together but with the Insulbright, I would zig zag the pieces together.

How do you fuse batting?

Like the idea of insulbright for the table runners also. I whip, baste or ladder stitch batting when splicing.

I use strips of light weight fusible interfacing..cheaper than the tape.

being frugal I have zigzagged pieces together for holders or what ever with insulbrite.

I cut the edges with a rotary cutter and then butt the edges and zigzag them together. No one will ever know the difference, including you after the item is finished and on the table. froggyintexas

I would zig-zag the pieces. I also have used light weight interfacing to put batting together.
