    Default debating on border

'Summer Breeze' is the name of the fabric line. This quilt is made from 2 charm packs and some yardage. Most of my quilts are bed size, small or large.

This one I like just the blue border, but when I want it bigger I could add the appliqué border and the corners are made with left over cut off triangles. i am not sure if the appliqué goes well with this quilt. Assurance, advise, suggestions will be greatly appreciated. Thank you.

I like the applique very much with the quilt. It provides a lot of interest with the geometric angular pattern in the middle and then flowing applique on the border. Two suggestions: I would consider making the applique flowersand leaves bigger. I would consider using an applique flower for the corner also.

This is a beautiful quilt. Any of the choices you've shown will work.

I think it depends on what you want. Without the applique border, it's a pretty lap quilt, perfect for a family room perhaps - where it will get lots of use and possibly tossed about a bit. Love the colors you used. With the appliqued border, you've made it larger and really makes it a "wow" quilt. With the applique, though, you'd want to handle it a bit more gently. And while it really takes it up to the next level, maybe you don't want/need another large quilt.

I love this with the applique and pinwheel corners. (I'm assuming you'd have the applique borders on all sides?)

Love the applique border and love the corner blocks!! As MJP suggested, I would try to make the applique a little larger to fit across the width of the bottom and the length of the vertical.

I'm also wondering how it would look with a small (same size as blue border) white border on the outside of the other two edges to "even out" the white border.

I love love love the appliqué border. I don't like the pinwheels in the corner though. Maybe if it were just the one set of four pinwheels in the corner instead of three sets of four?

Sorry, I feel harsh saying I don't like something, but then I remind myself that you are free to ignore me if you like them!
