Default Design software to run on Mac OS (no parallels/bootcamp)

    Hi,
I'm considering design software for my MacBook OS. I don't have windows programs such as boot camp or parallels and I don't want to add them.
I'm looking to design blocks and to import my own fabrics. I know EQ7 just came out w a. Mac-run software, and QuiltPro has one for Mac as well.
Your input is appreciated ~ thanks in advance
    Jae

I don't know anything about Macs but I love my Electric Quilt software. I have owned it since 1995. Hopefully maybe some stores will have it on sale and offer a lower price over list.

I would also recommend Electric Quilt. Quilt in a Day usually has the best price - put it in your shopping basket to see the price reduction.

I have QuiltPro for Mac and I am not very fond of it. I am eagerly awaiting EQ for Mac. It is supposed to be available in the next few weeks.

I got the EQ for Mac a couple of weeks ago and love it!!! It's exactly like EQ for Windows - no differences. It's great not having to go through a bunch of steps to open it anymore

I thought EQ was currently only Mac upgradeable(for another fee) for those already with the program and the stand alone Mac Program was still in the works? I'm waiting for the stand alone program.

That's correct, Candace. I currently have EQ7, and was able to get the Mac upgrade. So I paid $25 to migrate to EQ7 for the Mac. It's still the same program. I think the stand-alone program comes out in May. If you already have EQ7, just get the upgrade. Don't waste the money on a whole new program.

Here's the link for those who need it: http://electricquilt.com/online-shop...-to-mac-or-pc/
