    Yes, the flowers are subtle. At first I didn't see them from the larger picture you posted, but then on closer look there they were, adding another dimension to a fabulous quilt.

    Could you explain why you think it might have been a mistake?

    Assuming it was for a man (did I miss something? I didn't see that anywhere), why do we always assume men don't like flowers. How many "master gardeners" that grow flowers or run greenhouses or sell flowers are men? My guess? quite a few.

    I don't see any flowers, no stems or leaves either, just swirly squiggles. Besides they're not pink. Adds interest.

    I don't think its a problem at all. It's very subtle and blends fabulously with the other fabrics. It's a really stunning quilt!
