I decided the other day that I needed to buy more daylight light bulbs so I happened to be in Walmart and saw a 4 pack of these daylight LED bulbs and thought I would give it a try. Wow is all I can say it lit up my work area like you wouldn't believe. It was rainy and dreary out all day yesterday but it was brilliant over my sewing studio! Just wanted to share by the way I only paid about $6 for the pack.

LEDs have come a long way - They are bright and run on very little electricity! All the fixtures in my sewing room (and I have 11 I think) now have LED Daylight bulbs in them replacing the CFLs that had been in there. Glad you found them!! I love them - some of mine came from Walmart and the spots over my Midarm came from Sams Club.

Thanks for the price tip - I replaced my hallway lights but should definitely change several room lights.

Yes - thanks for the info - I have to change and adjust the lighting in our basement which is my sewing room.

yes, i bought daylight bulbs and they were bluish. hated that. my son loves LED's so i have some of those in the ceiling light and am using a small bendable desk light with led in it. it is behind my machine. helps a lot.

I, too am excited to see how these led lights work...just joined the Massdrop order for the Stella light. I saw a comment here the other day about it....so jumped on the savings today....I need all the lighting I can get these days.

My Dh installed those bulbs in my sewing room and kitchen, it makes a huge difference.

there are so many bulbs on the market ...
so far i haven't found any that live up to their package "brags."

Every light in my house and outside is LED. Don't have to worry if they are turned off or not. In fact the bulbs long life is if they are turned on and left on. Not turned off and on. Little heat and very little power is used. We use the 75 or 100 equivalent LED bulbs the 60 watt equivalent is not as bright. I replaced my sewing machine bulbs with the LED bulbs too.

Oh check the size of the bulb, some of the same wattage will be bigger then others. May not fit inside fixtures especially ones that are close to the ceiling, or lamp harps. Some are dimmable some are not. The LED 3 way comes on backwards from regular bulbs. It lights up the highest and turns to the lowest. We have had one outside 100 watt bulb in our outside lamp post and it's been on 24/7 for six years now. I buy all brands because the the physical size of that brand may be the size I need.

My dear hubby just finished installing new fixtures in my 16 ft. x 16 ft. sewing room. We installed a total of 8 - 2 - 4 ft. LED light fixtures that we bought at Costco on sale for $19.99 each. The configuration is in a square and the ceiling fan with lights in it are in the center. My DH shortened the cords to really short so that fixtures could be plugged into each other. There are four each plugged into each other. Then, he wired them into the wiring where the ceiling fan is. My sewing room is wonderfully light now! A while back, I had him install two LED 2 - 4 ft. fixtures in my sewing room closet that is 8 ft. 14 ft. We bought those at Home Depot and paid $120 each! Wow, I could have installed all of them for the price of the two from HD! I'm as happy as a lark!
