    I generally do not, as many long arm quilters where I live will not quilt when a person wants to use a sheet for the back. there is something about the way their needle pierces that tightly woven fabric they don't like. And I tend to make all my quilts from fabrics made specifically for quilting, but i see no reason why you couldn't if you were on a limited budget. or making them for shelters, etc.
