What a well timed thread. Yes, I have several rulers I haven't used yet, but I will in time. I believe in having the right tools for the job. Having said that I want to tell you why this is a well timed thread. My students and I are going to be doing a scrappy quilt where we exchange 6 1/2" blocks. One of my most timid students was really dreading doing this bc she had a very bad experience with half-square triangles. I found a ruler, still in the package that I've had so long the glue dot had to be removed with GooGone. The ruler is a June Tailor Perfect half-square & quarter-square tringles. It has a slot for drawing the line from corner to corner, then you can position your half-square to cut it perfectly. This will be the perfect ruler for her to use and get over her fear of half-square triangles.
    What is a 9" ruler? I don't think I have that one.

I have several but, to me, that just shows how prepared I am. }:o) To my daughters, it is hoarding. Seriously, I only buy extras when I see them really cheap on sale.

    Prepared is right!

What happens when motivation strikes at ten o'clock at night and you decide to finally start that string quilt and you haven't bought the strip tube ruler? Or you want to start an OBW and you have no 60º ruler? Oh, the horror!

Hoarding! Hmph! I'll bet they know who to come to when they need something, don't they? ;)

I have the Wonder cut Ruler plus a drawer full. I use my Creative Grid ruler for everything.

I think i have them all too. Now i am starting over and buying the creative grids. They are really easy to see through. They don't have all those thick yellow lines or the thick black lines.

I have used a couple of them so much I am starting to replace them with new ones. They wear out like anything else!!! I buy mine at Michael's with coupon. Michael's also takes JA's coupons.
