    Default Lone Star Pattern

I'm not sure if this is exactly what your looking for, but I found this on AngelFire.com. Here's the link if you want to view it:

I don't think it's a log cabin but it is a Lone Star. Best I could find for free!

Thanks Evelyn! That is definitely the centre I'm looking for. I know I could have figured out the log cabin blocks to fit around it, but it is just so darned easy to follow a pattern. Luann found the book for me and I have ordered it from Amazon. I'll post a picture when I'm done.

I found it too on Half.com. for 6.98 and that included shipping. If I am looking for a book most times I use this site since we all need to save money .

I've never heard of this site - thank you! I already ordered it from Amazon.ca. Can't wait to start this quilt. I'm definitely saving this site as one of my favourites. I knew that the quilters on this board would be able to find it for me!!

Sorry to hear that you lost your Aussie. They are lovely dogs and great companions. My avatar is my wonderful Sheltie, Ocean. Shelties are a bit like potato chips -you can't have just one! Ocean is a blue merle and I have 2 bi-blues and one tri-colour. They keep me busy grooming and vacuuming, when I'm not quilting of course!!

I owned Shelties too, but lost my last one two years ago. I got an Aussie puppy then. LOL they are a hand ful, he is two years old and yes, grooming and vacuuming are still the big things with these dogs. You have a beautiful Sheltie, I really miss mine.

I also love that quilt with the star and log cabin. I wish I could do one of those, but my stars are always wonky. I've tried and tried.

This one might be easier to work with than trying to do all those diamonds in solo form. Hmmm...

Found the Facebook where there is a mistake:

"In your instructions in your book please correct the width that you cut the "green medallion border" It should be cut to 3" wide and not 2 1/4" as it is stated in the book.
