What width are you using? Most often I hear 2 1/2 inches.

I did her method on my last big quilt and found it to work out just great for me. I plan to use it again on other quilts when they finally get to that point lol. I love her sites she seems to have so many great ideas for me anyway and her quilts are just beautiful. I would love to be able to have mine look like some of hers. But then I'm in no class with her quilting, so I will just continue in my own small way and still enjoy what I do. lol

    I like 2 1/4 unless I have an extremely flat batting :-D

I find that 2 1/4" bindings are best for me with quilts. Sometimes I use 2" bindings on kitchen items like pot holders, placemats, etc - but 2 1/4" works best for me. I find 2 1/2 inches is too much, and the binding way overlaps on back..

I have been sewing bindings on quilts for many years, but just watched the video on Youtube on bindings and now I think I know how to do it the right way.

I usually add an extra 1/8" to my binding widths. It just makes the job that much easier.
