If you have this machine tell me about it please.

I'm looking for a sewing/embroidery combo machine. If you don't have this one can you recommend one.

    TIA,
    Ginger

I have it. It's the twin to the Janome 9900 (same machine, basically).

I have not used it for embroidery yet other than making quilt labels. I do like it for piecing. A few of the reviews I've read commented that the largest hoop is on the small side, but I can't see myself embroidering really large designs, so that doesn't bother me.

Janome makes this machine, it is the twin to the MC9900. The hoops are 6.7x7.9, 5.5 square and you can get a smaller one. The Janome is actually a little more bang for the buck. I don't know what the difference in price would be, but I do know that Elna embroidery only machines cost more than their Janome twins.

I bought the 9900 in February 2014. It is a nice machine, easy to follow sewing menus with the t-shirt icon. I have embroidered many purses and tote bags. I don't find the hoop size to be a problem but I have no desire to stitch out huge designs. On the beige linen purse, I had to line up the embroidery and it was no problem at all with the trace feature.

Thanks ladies! I too don't see myself doing large pieces of embroidery. I just want the capability to have 1 machine that does both.
