Fold it on my 6 X 24 ruler and use a straight pin to hold it in place.

I use the "snap" type hair clips. I get them at the Dollar store; 10 for a dollar. I also use them to hold my binding in place when I bind a quilt.

Go to the hair section to see if they are cheaper than Joann's
and then go to a hair salon supplier too.

OK, this is what I use. Large bobby pins for hair. Work great and don't cost much. Find them at hair accessaries in Walmart.

Cheaper to buy in hair accessories department in Walmart. Twice the price in a quilt store..

I found Metal All Purpose Clips (these are clips for your hair) at Sally's Beauty Supply. 80 for $5.95 that is just a shade over 7 cents each.

I think maybe "Bulldog" clips would work (the big ones) and you can get them at Office Depot, Stapes or Office Max. Cheaper I'm sure than the quilting supply websites.

My LQS uses long bobby pins to secure fabric on the bolt and I have found hair barretts just like the JoAnn's binding clips at the local Walmart in the hair department--much cheaper, no sharp edges and work just find in securing binding.
