Default Fabric for Quilting roll-up Design Board

    Hello,.
I am looking for another type of fabric to use for my retractable roll up design board other than the popular flannel. I have heard of someone using a polyester type lining material. Does anyone know of such a fabric? Any help would be greatly appreciated.
    Thank You!

I am a flannel girl. I am not sure of anything else as good. I bought a polyester only 2 months ago and was just not happy with it. Live and learn. Fortunately it was on sale for $20.00 plus the shipping.

Poly Fleece is my number one choice for a design wall ... and would be if I was doing a roll up or portable one.

I only have room for small design wall and it's on a small wall in my laundry room off my sewing room. I'm using a polar fleece blanket. Just wish it was white, not burgundy.

Maybe you're thinking of automotive headliner fabric? It's polyester. It's what Eleanor Burns used in her "how to make a design wall" instructions,

I've tried a flannel-backed table cloth, fleece, flannel, and a chunk of Warm & Natural, which was the winner. The whole quilt will stay up without pins, even when my dog would walk by and whack everything with his tail. I've tried other battings but W&N by far is the stickiest.
