Hope you have a wonderful life in your retirement and get to quilt a lot! I "retired" several times and when lol died I went back to part-time. That was a number of years ago and am still working part time and still debating whether or not to retire. So good wishes to you and enjoy!!

Congratulations on your retirement, Klaws!! We're all so happy for you and wish you a long, healthy new chapter in your life. I am still in awe at how I used to get everything done, including an occasional quilt, and hold down a full time job as well. Now my days are filled with doing only what I WANT to do!! QUILT ON!!

HAPPY RETIREMENT. It's a great life!!! When I retired two years ago, our son gave me a $200. JoAnn's gift certificate and I finally just used it all up. What a great gift. Only problem with being a sewer and being retired, so many think I have nothing more to do than THEIR projects. Am just recuping from a broken leg and figure the good Lord is trying to tell me to slow down so my New Year Resolution is to 'just say NO'. Happy shopping!!!

I retired 13 months ago and have been so productive, quiltwise, since then. However, my house is still just as messy. Somehow that doesn't get top priority. I love being able to get up when I wake up and not setting the alarm.
Congrats. Enjoy!

Congratulations on your retirement! That's awesome! I am also a member of the "don't know how I ever found time to work" club. When I first retired, I spent most of my time sewing and quilting. That was too isolating, so now I'm a member of a guild and an additional sewing/quilting club. Sewing is great, but don't forget to have that cup of coffee and a chat with friends here and there. You also need to be social, as I found out within a year.
