    I'm pretty sure they are not prewashed.

    I always figure it's safest to assume they are not washed. If I'm concerned at all about bleeding, I wash them.

    Thanks.. Didn.t think they were. Found a bunch at g sale. Looks like A SCRAPPY to me. Dated 2001 on other materal

    I never prewash except fabric for clothing. I haven't had a problem with colors running.

    not if you buy them from an lqs- or store-
    they are simply cut off the bolt- at an lqs they simply pull out 1/2 yd of fabric, cut it- cut again at the fold- and fold the fat quarter.
    the only time you will find pre-washed pre-cuts is if you buy them from a person who pre-washed their fabric- then cut the pre-cuts (maybe a yard sale= or thrift store)
    but bought from a store- they are new off the bolt fabrics- just pre-cut for you
