I am looking for a machine for my daughter.
Would love to get her a Singer Featherweight, for when she comes to visit me. What is the 'going value' for these machines.
I know they are unique....I own my mothers....but what type of money are you ladies currently paying for these machine.... with or without a case...are they all in running condition. are you having any problems with getting service on them ????
can service on them be pretty much do it your self ????

The prices seem to vary depending on where you live. Ebay the prices are more consistent. :D:D:D

I just bought a couple. One eBay and goodwill.com. I also bought manuals for operating and maintenance.

I got one on ebay about a month ago for $258. It had just been serviced and cleaned. The invoice was with the machine when I got it. Mine had the case and many attachments with it also. It runs like a jewel. I absolutely love it. I had been looking for a while and saw them being sold for $250 and up, even to the $400 range. Good luck. Sandy

Featherweights in my area of Southern Ontario are down in price from a high of about $500 a couple of years ago. I've seen more than one advertised on Kijiji (like Craig's List)in the $150- $300 range. Anything more than that doesn't seem to be selling very quickly as the ad is up for a long time or relisted later at a lower price. I usually can find one at least every week or so.

i have seen them as low as $25 (and working) up to over $400...location seems to matter.

I've been looking for a featherweight also. I'm trying to stay at about $300 and still haven't found one. I missed a beauty by about 2 hours off Craig's list. The lady selling was overwhelmed with offers. She sold it to the first person who called 20 minutes after she had posted it. She said she had at least 50 calls about it, most offering higher then she was asking for. She regretted selling it so fast.
I went to a quilt show on Saturday and they had a booth of featherweights. Prices were between $400 and $900. The more expensive ones had wonderful paint jobs and decorated cases.
    I'll just keep looking.
