I am going to start a baby blanket, using some flannel with a 6 inch fussy cut Noah's Ark. I have blue coordinating fabric and may be able to use some of the white background around the fussy cut also.

What I am looking for is a pattern that would use the fussy cut but also add a pattern in the blue and white. I had though about 6 inch fussy and 6 inch four patch, but was also looking for suggestions for a more intricate block.

    Any ideas?

What about combining the 6" fussy cut with Aunt Sulkey's Choice from Quilterscache.com That is an intricate 6" block.

What about a fussy cut snowball with a nine patch? I saw that in flannel in a quilting magazine a few years ago, I wish I was at home, I'd dig it up & send it.... Maybe I could tell my boss I need to work from home the rest of the day? It is really cold slippery and crappy today , also known as 'Stock Show' weather here in Denver.

How about using the 6 1/2" square as the center for a square in a square block, you could alternate the blue and white
