    If you arent up to making a complete quilt but want something for the bed, how about making what I call a "foot warmer"?
    Its about the same as a table runner but maybe thicker and can also be used as a decorative piece across the foot of the bed.
    I used to use folded blankets for extra warmth for my feet in Winter but foot warmers are better.

    They are very popular now...Bed Runners. tons of books on them and designs

    You can also use the "bedrunner" at the head of the bed when you don't want to "tuck" the quilt!
