Not my taste, I don't care for that much quilting.

I understood that this was a way of creating a new design for each day of the year. BUT.....what is the purpose? How can it be used on a bed size quilt? I see Leah has lots of followers so perhaps they can explain how they have used this method. I think more in terms of whole quilts and not single blocks. What do you think?

She starts in the middle and kind of squares it off into 4 blocks and then you do each quarter, from the center to the edge of your quilt. I think it is something I will try. Looks very nice. I love the look of a finished quilt all quilted but I can't afford to have mine done like that, so I hope this is the next best thing to do to really finish it off. Worth a try.

I think her designs can be used in certain areas of the quilt. She shows lots of possibilities for sashings and areas that needs a filler. I have used her ideas and maybe changed them a bit as I think each quilter creates the same design a bit different. I at least reference her work.

Thank you. I am sure it will make my adventures into FMQ less fraught with drama.:)
