It looks to me like virtually anything with a sashing can be either way?

Fun and Done is one way to do a QAYG. There are several different methods. I bought this book and tried a sample of a couple of ways. It's very interesting. I have not yet tried it on a large quilt, but do expect to in the near (hopefully) future.

As katie noted, Fun & Done is one of many QAYG methods. However, it is different from many of the others in that it does NOT have any sashing between the blocks.

There are currently 4 (I think) threads on the QAYG topic with links to all tutorials/videos/books, and pictures of members' quilts. With a quick search, you can easily see the difference.

I think "Fun & Done" is the pattern line that those patterns go by. Kind of like "Quilt in a Day" is a pattern line. It's all QAYG though.
