Question Fun&Done stitching to the edge of the batting...and then?

Just leave the tails, no back-stitching so that threads can be adjusted if necessary (pulled out) when preparing to trim the top layer...then just incorporate those tails under edge of the joined area when the edges turning back? I guess that would be popping up the bobbin thread first.

Or back-stitch and clip, hoping for the correct stopping point? I can't imagine this would look great on the back when finished.

What have you done with this method? And are you happy with the appearance on the back side of the assembled quilt? Obviously I'm just a puzzled kiddo here...and maybe over-thinking this all! lol

    Thanks!

I just cut the threads on the one Fun n Done. I was going to use sashing, and stitching the sashing would cover the threads in the blocks..

I got tired of burning fingers trying to turn the back over so I just squared all the blocks, zigzagged them together then added sashing top and bottom. Been on the bed for over 3 years and washed. No problem except too much cat hair.

The Queen of Stitching has another method for the backs and sashing. It works pretty well. She has a web site and videos of how to.
