    Default fusible batting question

sorry i haven't been on here for awhile - getting lots of sewing done for christmas or at least trying to - lol. my question is on fusible batting. I have made my ds a couple of large (7-1/2 inch square) coasters and used the fusible batting. do i need to quilt them or will the fusible be enough . they are a paper pieced christmas tree - very primitive looking which she will love!

if they will be washed they need to be quilted- at least an x or something across them- the fusable is just there to hold the batting until it is quilted- it is not a permenent fusable like heat & bond or steam a seam.

I agree, I would do a little something on it.

I use Hobbs 80/20 fusible and the label says it's water soluable. The first time it's washed or gets wet the fusible comes out so you need to put the recommended quilting into it. If it's a different brand you need to check the label.
