    Default fusible batting???

I am making a few table runners and want to use fusible batting.. after you iron the batting to the quilt it is really flat, which isn't a bad thing, but I was wondering after you wash the quilt or in my case table runner does it puff up or stay flat. Thanks

That fusible batting is also used for making purses, too. I'm pretty sure nothing changes after hand laundering, because I think I washed a purse I made once. Pricey stuff, but it's very nice.

If it is Hobbs 80/20 fusible batt then it does puff a little after washing.

I'm no help. I buy Fusiboo for my practice sandwiches and even finished a whole quilt (did QAYG) but haven't washed it yet so I don't know if it puffs up or not!

If I find it buried in my messy sewing room I'll wash it and let you know

The Hobbs fusible batting I used acted like Hobbs 80/20 when it was laundered. The fusible washes away and the project is soft and nice. The denser the quilting the flatter your project will be too, so if you want flat quilt a lot. I love using the fusible batting for table runners, tree skirts, small projects
