I have seen that people are under the impression that they have to send a cutting mat via UPS, so I thought this might interest you all who choose to ship them. I was able to purchase 2 10x30 foam boards at Dollar Tree and then cut them to size, about an inch larger than the mat. Sandwiched the mat between the 2 boards, secured the mat with a couple of strips of tape to secure it, taped the 2 boards together (edges and 3 wrap arounds), took it to the post office and sent it Priority mail for $5. Hope this helps you all lower your shipping costs, I know I need to save whenever possible. :)

Did you put it into a box, envelope or brown paper? If not, our Post Office wouldn't take it. This doesn't weigh as much as fabric so it should be cheaper to send.

No. Just sandwiched it between the 2 foam boards and taped together well. :)

This is a big town and they are really strict here about what they take. Good for you in getting it mailed that way.
