Looking for input and any information.

Debating between the HQ 16 in a sit down table. Or
The Gammill 18 in a sit down table.

There seems to be lots of info for the HQ available. I can't find much on the Gammill.
I've watched videos on threading and maintenance. The threading seems much more involved on
the gammill. Not sure if this is important or not.

I've tried both and have found good deals on each used.
Please share any thing! I'm stuck!

if you have tried both- - choose the one you like the best-- both are good reputable companies- with good service/ tech support. I would also choose the one that has the closest dealer- so I could easily take advantage of the 'free' owners classes.

The Gammill sit down is relatively new. I have a Gammill 18/8 Vision which I love. Gammill has very good support.

Innova also has a sit down model-you may want to look at that one also

I rented a Gammil long arm yesterday from our local longarm quilter. I would not know the difference but I know that she loves the Gammels and has 3 of them.

I love the consistence I always get using a Gammil. Haven't tried the other. Working on them is the best way to figure out which is best for you I would think.

I have rented the Gammill (not sit down) and love it. I don't have room for it, but it is very consistent and the stitches turn out even. It seems like the Gammill is the cream of the crop. Since I don't have room, I have bought a new Janome sewing machine with an 11 inch harp. Now I can do my own on that
