I can't give advice as to the batting but I had to tell you I love your quilt.

Have you thought about Hobbs Wool batting??? I have always used Hobbs 80/20 Cotton batting. Back in the old days, there use to be a lot of bits of wood in W&N

Wool batting really defines the quilting so it looks almost like trapunto.

Beautiful quilt. I have the pattern, but have had trouble finding the right floral fabric. You've inspired me to keep shopping until I find the right fabric.

Hobbs polydown makes a beautiful quilt. Warm and soft with good definition. Such a beautiful quilt should feel beautiful and luxurious

I had a very hard time finding the floral material that I wanted. I searched stores within a 40 mile radius of my home. Then I tried the Internet. Happy Apple Quilts was able to order the material for me. I found the greens at Wal Mart and the 108" wide backing also at Wal Mart.
I must confess, I'm kind of lazy. I didn't want to paint my bedroom again so I tried like crazy to find colors in the flowers that would work. These flowers really do work. LOL
I am going to try doubling the W&N and also the 80/20. I have a few pcs left over so I can see how it will work out before I try it on the quilt itself. Thank you for all of your suggestions. I started this quilt June 17th. This pattern was a lot easier than I anticipated. Thank you for all of the kind words and encouragement to keep going.

    ready for batting
