You know you gave your Olive a loving home Annalee and that made all the difference to her. I am very sorry for your loss. I don’t even like to think about that day coming for any of our dogs.
I’m a firm believer in the quote from Anatole France: “Until one has loved an animal a part of one's soul remains unawakened.”
Our Olive reminds me of a Greyhound sometimes with her elegance, grace and agility.

That is so true Butterflyblue. I found that out the hard way. I though tI had practiced enough because my pillowcase sandwiches were coming out not to shabby. So then i tried to quilt a One Block Wonder. I quickly discovered what a difference the weight of a large project makes. I felt like i was wrestling with the quilt the whole time. Since then I purchased Machingers quilting gloves and they help immensely!
A dog bed and sleeping pad are good ideas because they are bigger.

That's great Lynn! Rescued pets are often all the more precious. We have 3 pups we found through http://www.petfinder.com/index.html
I don't know why we got so blessed but they bring much joy to our lives.

These are really great ideas and a smart use of fabric and thread! I knew there had to be quilters on the board who were doing neat things with their practice pieces! I gathered all your ideas together here because a lot of times people don’t have time to go through all the posts. Thanks Everybody!
