Great deal on fabrics
I recently attended a free craft seminar (Creative U) at a local craft store (Pacific Fabrics in the Seattle area). When you attend, you get a card to have stamped with which you can get a percentage off of one item. The more stamps you get, the higher the percentage. This last week, I was eligible for 40% off.
One of my stash-acquisition hobbies is to check out this store's flat fold table where they have reduce-priced fabrics and put together fabrics that I think would make a pretty quilt. Sometimes I purchase and sometimes I don't. I was weak this last time, so I got 1/3 yard of 10 different fabrics, plus 4 1/2 yards of another fabric to use for backing. Then I picked out some different colored blenders to just add to my general stash; and I also picked out some pretty fabric to make a small tablecloth. I thought I would get my 40% off of the backing fabric, but when the clerk went to ring it up, she said "All these fabrics have the same SKU number. Let me see if I can just group them all together as one purchase and use the coupon for all of it." She did! Wow! I am so pleased!
No, I'm not in the 2019 Fabric Moratorium; but, seriously, I should be!
