I just looked at a new post from dkabasketlady. She showed a beautiful quilt that she made for her BF. In one picture, of her inspector, the quilt is being handquilted. It got me thinking...I would love to see some handquilted WIP. Do you have a project you're working on? Would you mind sharing pictures of it as your quilting?

    I LOVE pictures!! :)

Here's me actually working on this quilt(my DH took the pic and I didn't know it until I was posting my pics of it on here). I don't quilt quite like this the whole time, but I did have it resting on my ironing board and the weight of it resting on my couch. This quilt was too BIG & too HOT to have it on my lap(like I usually quilt). I'm usually dressed too(must have been one of my LAZY -why the heck get dressed days, lol)when I'm quilting. I do have to wear my glasses when I'm quilting instead of my contacts because I have one contact for close-up and one for distance. It's really hard for me to get focused using just one eye. debbieumphress, I admire you even more(with having just one eye & hand quilting)now than ever the obstacles you've overcome to be able to do this and the cross stitching also.

Here is a link to a picture I posted a while back hand quilting.

    http://www.quiltingboard.com/t-29365-1.htm

Here is a link to some of the other motifs I am quilting on this same quilt

    http://www.quiltingboard.com/t-47093-1.htm

I have been working on this particular quilt since before I joined this board. It is in year 3 of the making but I hope to have it finished by this summer to post a pic of the whole quilt. I am on the last of the 4 dragons right now, have another tiger yet to start then on to the border which I am still contemplating what motif to use.

Interesting you should start this topic, I was just thinking last night I should try and do a pictoral tutorial of how I mark the designs out as I go.

I think I was securing one of my stitches in this pic because I didn't bend over like this to quilt! I did stand to do this one because it was so big. I took lots of breaks and only did 1/2 row/day! I usually set in my chair and quilt.
