On my recent trip down south for winter, you just know I had to get these blades.Of course I had to try one. I must say I was not impressed. Today here at home I tried cutting fabric again, after 5 passes I put in another one of their blades, gosh what a difference. Of course in the RV I was using a smaller no name cutting mat. It wasn't the blades, it was the mat.

I'm thinking I may need a new cutting mat. Mine is about 15 yrs old and I seem to have trouble cutting even with a new blade.Originally Posted by true4uca

Mats do make a difference. I complained that the blades were
not as good as they used to be and someone on here asked about my mat. It was old and well used. They suggested to get a new one and surprize! the blades were great on it.

I think the Harbor Freight blades are great! Some have said they don't last as long but att he price you can afford to change your blades more often. My mat is 6 yrs old and it works great with the blades.

Wonder what the recommended amount of time you should use a cutting mat. Hmm. If they would sell them cheaper then they do, people could afford to replace them more often. I've had mine for a long long long time too.

Mats sure do make a difference. The first time I tried the blade I was using of those stiff elcheapo mats.I was sure a mat was a mat, not so. I had bought the mat so DH could make me one of those revolving mats. Sigh, will have to buy an Olfa
