Default help with block size please

I am no good at math, can someone help me out. I have a very ambigious pattern I am trying to make and it gives very little information unless you are a math wizard. If I make a two blocks 3 7/8" square, cut it half and sew together to make a pinwheel, what size will my finished block be.
