Help to enlarge the size of a quilt
I want to make the "Scrap Happy" quilt in the Better Homes & Gardens book Scrappy Quilts. The problem is since it is set on point I'm having trouble figuring out how much fabric I will need. Right now it says it will be 42 3/4" x 57". I want to add more charms to make it fit a full or queen bed. I know you are all very talented, so I hope someone can help me figure this out so I can purchase the fabric while it is still available.

checking bed sizes, a queen is 60x84 or 60x80. so if you double the pattern dimensions it comes to 85x104, which seems will fit the queen bed. therefore you would quadruple the fabric. i hope this helps. depending on the look of the pattern, this may or may not be right

I tried to view the Table of Contents of this book with no luck. We need more information on the design. This is when I really like Electric Quilt program. It really makes changing size of quilts a breeze.

queen short drop 86" x 93" , 7998 in. sq., 3.26 times the materials from the current pattern requirements.
queen long drop 102" x 112", 11424 in. sq., 4.6 times the materials from the current pattern requirements.
current quilt size 43x57 in. 2451 in. sq.
I would get 4 times the amount of fabric so as to either make a full with a long drop or a queen with a short drop.
