Question Help finding the right school fabric for teachers lab coat?

As the wealth of knowledge abounds on this board, I know someone can recommend the right fabric prints or selections to make a lab coat/school apron for a science/math elementary school teacher. My friend would like to wear this lab coat/apron for her classes so that it becomes the signal to her students that it is time for this science or math lesson. I have been looking for fabrics with numbers, microscopes, rulers, pencils, anything that might seem science or math oriented...probably need two yards.

Any suggestions on possible fabrics that might be used for this project? Appreciate your assistance..thanks in advance.

    Here's another site.

    http://www.spoonflower.com/tags/math

Also, lots of math/science people are really into tesselation, or Escher-like patterns.
