Default Help with finishing a quilt.

Hello my name is Tim and I live in ware mass. Here is my story 13 yrs ago when my now wife first started seeing each other we picked out a pattern for a quilt and we each picked out our own materials to make quilts for each other. Well of course my wife finished hers for me. But I never finished mine for her and I would like to and surprise her. I have all the strips cut and one row of strips sewn together. Any help or advice would be greatly appreciated. Thank you in advance.
    Tim

Hi Tim, welcome to the board. Just go slowly to get back into it. I'm assuming you are machine sewing? Try and get a consistent seam allowance, should be 1/4". Good luck, I'm sure she will be surprised!

Do you know the name of the pattern you want to make? There are great youtube tutorials on the net if you know the pattern name. It is hard to give you any tips without knowing what you are working towards.

I think it is so sweet you are making this for her after 13 years. She will be so happy and surprised! Blessings to you both! And oh yes, do check YouTube for tutorials, and also go to the Missouri Star Quilt Company site and check out the tutorials there; they are great!

If you have all the strips cut and one row sewn, you are following a pattern, right? Isn't the name on the pattern, or did you lose it? (I'm confused )

Not sure what kind of help you're looking for. Encouragement? Advice? A swift kick in the pants to send you to the sewing machine? We can provide it all.
