I use Era detergent on stains. I put the liquid on the stain, roll it up and put it on the top of the dryer for a few days. No stain and no color removal.

A couple of things along this line: 1)did we find out what spray it was and 2) The Grandma's stain remover is also available at A.C. Moore and Michaels.
Best of luck on the soaking part, it is often the best thing, seems the length of time and not the strength of the solution can sometimes give better results. Hope it doesn't come to ripping and replacing the white. Keep us updated please, we are rooting for you!!

if the stains don't come out, just apply another border over that one, darker fabric of course.

I live in Georgia with red clay and I use Biz all the time. I generally soak the items for a good while then wash. It works for me.

OMGosh, what a beautiful quilt too! Please tell us what brand of spray you used??? This worries me. I love spray and use it ALL the time. Do you remember how old the spray was? I have been using "Oxi Clean" (spray and powder form) on stains and getting great results. Colors have to be "set" I think, but I have soaked old, old stains (blood, coffee, grease) on clothing that have gone through the dryer several times and still stains have come completely out. I soak for days up to 2 weeks. I hope you get those stains out. Let us know what works, best wishes for you.

You might try Oxyclean. It works miracles, even on red wine.

Try Dawn dishwashing liquid. Just squirt on the stain, let it set a few minutes then wash as usual. Check stain area before drying. Once it has been dried in the dryer the heat will set the stain forever.
    Good luck, anice quilt.
