    Default how to calculate scallops for a border

    I only did this once on a quilt. it was 6 blocks by 5 and did one per. how do I divvy up the scallops on the quilt I'll be doing? thanks in advance.

    I only know how from Eleanor Burns youtube videos....she has a couple of them but there is other youtube videos...did you try there

    I've always measured the sides of the quilt, cut freezer paper to this length, ( I fold & cut the freezer paper into 6" wide strips) then I fold the long strip - accordion style - over & over until I have the size scallop I want. Draw the curve, cut it out- unfold -- you have a row of scallops that fits the side of your quilt. You can iron the freezer paper onto the quilt to cut or mark your scalps. you need to figure out how you want your corners to round & finangle the lengths, corners.

    When I did the scallops on my Dear Jane quilt I found this site very useful.
    When you open the first page - at the bottom - it says " if you wish to proceed -
