While going thru my closet, i came across forty 7 1/2 inch white squares that i had cut out a while back. I realy want to make the Dresden Plate pattern. I make a circle on paper that measures 6 1/2 inches round. I have spent several hours trying to figure out how big the blades should be....with no luck.
I'll admit that i'm not good at that kind of math. lol I was thinking maybe 8 blades to each plate. Can someone pleaseeeeeeeeeeeeeeeeeee help me with this? I will be forever grateful. TIA Cheryl

I use the easy dresden ruler. Much easier. Also the circle just gets appliqued over the center so it doesn't have to match the size exactly.

Not good at math either, but check out this site, it may help. Their version has a few pointed petals, but still all the same width, just different end.

Here's one - looks like it has more petals;

And one more:

I like the Dresden ruler, about $6. It also has measuring lines for the tumbler block as well. :)
