I gave away at Christmas time 10 queen size and 7 baby quilts, I made for myself 4 and one for my favorite buddy.
I have a machine so it's easy quilting for me.

There are a lot of productive quilters on this board. I did keep a record of the thread that went through my machine for a couple of years and I averaged over 10 miles a year. But I'm upping that now.

I have not counted the quilts, but as soon as I finish one,
I start another and love every minute of it--mistakes and all.

Last year I made 5 or 6 quilts. The year before I did 20. This year who knows. I a hoping for a productive year. Last year I was a little burned out but I am really starting to get the desire back.

I made 169 blankets last year of which 150 were for Project Linus. Most are at least lap-size of 60" square. I have several ladies in my chapter that make at least 100 a year for Project Linus, too. We stay busy. We made and donated 2,938 for 2010. Not bad for a group that began almost 3 years ago with only 2 people.

Now if you question had read "How many quilts did you start a year?" I would have had a response.

  hahaha, me too! LOL

I did finish 2 last year though. One for me - it stays on the couch with me at night. This house is so cold! It wasn't hard though - I did a 6" block swap a few years ago and just randomly sewed those blocks together. I had like 88 blocks of fabric that represented where everyone was from. I call it my "Round the World" lap quilt. And the other was for my 20 yr old son for Christmas. I had started his probably 5 years ago but was determined to finish it for him this year.

this year I don't know if I'll finish any but I do plan on getting at least 2 maybe more tops finished using fabric from my stash.
