Default Hunter's Star from Fat Quarter Shop?

Has anyone used this free technique?

They have a video and a free PDF (Plus you can buy the pattern.)

    https://static.fatquartershop.com/me...ockPattern.pdf

Not sure how to attach the YouTube video but if you search Fat Quarter Shop Hunters Star, it comes up.

If anyone has used this technique or another that has worked out well, I'd be interested to hear about it. (I saw the thread about the MSQC one so I'm going to look at that one.)

Someone on QB did a scrappy Hunter’s Star and it was lovely . Maybe she used fat quarters?

I did mine using the Deb Tucker/Studio 180 Rapid Fire tool (it was a queen-size (96 x 96) finish, so I used the large tool). It was only the 6th quilt I'd ever made, and the accuracy of the points got me hooked on Deb's tools.

I also did mine with Deb Tuckers ruler. My sister made one with the Missouri Star technique, which is to use 1/2 square triangles. I liked mine way better. It didn't look any easier to do the the 1/2 square triangle way. The results using the Deb Tucker ruler is easy, it's very accurate and makes a stunning block. Wouldn't recommend any other way. I bought her ruler to make the Storm at Sea quilt. Looking forward to that.

I made my Hunter's Star quilt from instructions on this board from Roolen. She hasn't posted in a long time but does beautiful work. I found the block to be very easy to make using her technique.
