When I'm struggling with something I KNOW I can do, I take a break, eat something, and then try again. Sometimes it even works ~ ~ ~

Even after so many years making quilts I still pin my miters before I sew because I know if I don't I will have to do it over.

I found this very good , BUT , dare I say that I was not taught to join binding ,merely fold the fabric already sewn leaving 1/4 inch to fold under THEN insert the new binding fabric already folded in the middle and just "TUCK" it into the folded back fabric thus leaving no raw rdges and no need for sewing----------------------guess this is very frowned on by you ladies.

I too learned this way to connect binding ends, but that was a long time ago & better methods have surfaced. I also watched the video & decided this one is the easiest quickest safest method I've seen so I'm going to use it next time.

I feel your pain. I did that with mitered corners last week. I broke down and bought a tool for it for next time lol.
