Conniequilts

Since learning to quilt almost year ago I have done lots and lots of talking. One of my co-workers was a former quilter but had gotten out of it for various reasons. Slowly but surely she started thinking about her quilting again and brought in a few pieces to show me.

These past couple of weeks have been very exciting as she has been telling me about converting a bedroom into a quilting room. Telling me about talking to her children and letting them pick out patterns for quilts and this weekend she went FABRIC SHOPPING :)

I am also encouraging her to join our board. I keep sharing bits of information I have learned from here and how very wonderful everyone from the board is. So hopefully we will have another new member soon.

I am actually very lucky to have two of them. Bonni Feltz that you see running around the board is my first quilting buddy. Gina (Jenna) will be the second. It is great to have someone to bounce ideas off. We don't actually get to work together, it's actually just talk. Show and tell, get ideas, etc.

I wish everyone could have a buddy, it is truly great in so many ways.

I am so blessed as well. My firnd actually got
ME back into quilting after about 15 years!

SHe is helping me now with our king size quilt I am starting to undertake.

My only quilting buddy is 7 years old. DGD :-D We have fun but it would be nice to have someone a little closer to my age.

I met my quilting buddy on this board! Come to find out we only lived a few miles apart. Right now we are getting together once a week at her house for a sew day. Having the time of my life. Thanks Jeanne! (Lynnejean)
