I order 1 book (quilting book, soft cover, about 1/4" thick) and a calendar from Amazon. It came in a box like that too - stuffed with paper. Could have been sent in a padded envelope. What a waste!

I would write to the company and send them the photo. This is costing the company money which in turn you are paying for.

They also charge by dim weight which is the dimensions of the box. A light item in a large box will cost more than the same item in a smaller box. Weight and dimension factor into the price.

Gee, for 3 cents more they could have shipped them flat rate priority! A small bubble package would have done just fine!!! Overkill is for sure. They spent more on the packing of the needles than the needles were worth!

That is why you should order more than you need at one time so you don't have to pay so much in shipping charges.

Holy Moly!! Is that USPS? or UPS? Either way that is for sure ridiculous! I might be tempted to take that picture and send them a letter of complaint!
