I have done it several ways: hand sewn it together, machine stitched it together, used the tape you mentioned, and used fusible interfacing. Personally, I like the fusible interfacing. I cut I" strips and press the batting pieces together.

I've spliced leftover binding by zigzagging and recently using the tape.

The tape was easier to use, but I used it on both sides of the batting just to be sure the "patch" was secure. Not sure that is necessary.

I felt zigzagging was more secure but that took more time and effort.

I just saw some quilt tape in Keepsake quilter and was
wondering how it worked and if it actually held the pieces
together on a long term basis. Its 1 1/2 inches wide and
its fusible. It says its so soft you won't know that it is
there. I like to read comments on this board and than
I can decide if its worth ordering. It would sure help to
use up the left over pieces. Has anyone ever used this?

Sounds like an unnecessary expense to me, when butting them together works fine.

I haven't tried it but I saw it on quiltinaday.com. There is a special for $6 for 10 yards.

Me too. Just be sure that the 2 ends you butt together have a straight edge.

I love it. Just used it for the first time and it worked so well.

I don't know anyone who has used it, but I just straighten out my batting and zig-zag together and this works well for me.

Yes, I do the same by butting the ends together and zig zagging together. Works great.

i've used it and it works well, but you'd be surprised at how fast 10 yards vanishes. and yes, you do have to make sure and quilt a lot on the edges.
