Default Jane Austen Fabric / Something different!

Hi all. I have had the Jane Austen Fabric layer cake for a while and I want to make a quilt with it, but I don't want to make the traditional Jane Austen quilt. I'm looking for ideas that would show off the beauty of the fabric.

Any ideas would be greatly appreciated. Thank you.

Not sure what Jane Austin Fabric is exactly, but if it's something you don't want to cut to small you might check out Missouri Star Quilt company tutorials. Jenny has lots of beautiful patterns that are make with pre-cuts such as a layer cake. I recently made this quilt and it would be suitable for fabric you want show the beauty of. The pattern is called Gypsy Girl by Heather Mulder Peterson.

Jenny Doan's double slice quilt is one of my favorites. It calls for layer cakes.

I like the Missouri Star's "Irish Change" pattern - it uses layer cakes. Here is a YouTube link: https://www.youtube.com/watch?v=uGeIDmxthy4

I used a fat quarter bundle of "Jane Austen at Home" to make a hanky quilt last year (photo attached), and this year I'm working on the Quiltmaker mystery series based on Bonnie Hunter's "Addicted to Scraps" column. This is a year-long project and I'm attaching a photo of the pieces in the first clues. Had to buy a few more FQs for this latest project.

Just watched the video from Missouri Star Quilt Co. that TexasRanchLady shared the link to...WOW! Love it! Adding to my bucket list as my next quilt to make.

I like the way the JA fabrics come to life when set into that white/cream background!
