    It will come out that way every time no matter what you do. I did not have a twist in mine, and it looks just like yours.

    Did you cut off the first 18 in and discard? I never made one but that is what I was told to do.

    Also If you had used 22 different fabrics, it would look different. This quilt is for jelly rolls which usually has 22 diffent fabrics.

    Reminds me of using varigated yarn to knit something - how the colors just join one another. This quilt is very pretty.
