Default Just when you think they're not paying attention

Long Labor Day weekend from work and watching ..or should I say..listening to whatever movie ( think it was the Haunting") was one the TV when my DH shouts out " look there's a quilt! they called it shoo fly and it has a tree appliqué!"
    Huh! Unbelievable, I'm thinking.

I think they only pay attention to get us off balance. ;-)

I drive over to a shop in Nottingham and always go straight over for a drink in the diagonally opposite corner when I get there, taking in a quick look at all the lovely fabric etc as I go. There I sit and enjoy a drink but mostly a chat with the husbands waiting for wives etc. they are store mely now ledge able about their wives last project, colours they like to use and sewing machines, best shopes to go etc. I really enjoy my sit and chat. I usually say waiting most tell me they are driver and bag carrier some also say they are the bank. I have learnt how to use an iPad had ideas for projects best places to go to look at quilts all from husbands or boyfriends and no wife dashes over to grab them and take away. It's great because being single I love chatting to men which now adays I never do unless I go here.
Even my nephews have picked up working from my we are going fabric shopping.

One of my former coworkers really enjoyed going to quilt shows with his wife. And she enjoyed visiting old cemeteries with him for his genological research. A well matched couple!

They do pay attention some times. Just the other day my DH and I were watching something on TV that showed a scene from a small town and he said, "Look they have a quilt shop!" I totally missed it. DH does like to go to quilt shows, but he can do without the vendors. Although he will go shopping with me if I'm looking for something particular."
