Too busy enjoying our long awaited rain to pay much attention to quilting. Tonight I will cut strips for a long cabin.

I'm not quilting this weekend. I volunteered to make a coworker a Christening dress for her newborn daughter. I have 2 weeks to finish it. The catch is that I'm making it from her wedding dress. It took me 2 weeks to get up the nerve to cut into it and 5 hours to figure out how to get all the necessary pieces cut out of the available fabric. You wuld think big wedding dress- tiny baby= plenty of fabric. Not necessarily the case, but managed to do it. Wish me luck.

Canning salsa and tomatoes. Guess that doesn't count, huh? Ok, also been working on blocks for a sampler quilt.

#2. My next UFO- Hunters Star. After starting it I thought there wasn't enough contrast between the colors so I put it aside. I still think so but it will be good practice for my next HS.

    Love the Gecko quilt!

Nurturing, caring, feeling the love and concern of others is so important to a cancer survivor and the ones touched by cancer. Hope the lucky stars bring her much luck through this battle.

I am almost finished quilting my "cheater baby teddy bears" quilt panel for a niece that should be arriving in a week. My goal is to do the binding today and hand stitch it down tonight. With all this RAIN, I think I may very well reach this goal.

I'm just starting on the Shadowbox pattern by Mountspeek Creations. Need to go to the LQS for a bit more fabric in order to proceed. I'm putting "fun" things in the windows and it will be a graduation quilt of one of our grandsons.

I'm working on a wall hanging sample for LQS. It is an oriental peacock WH. Beautiful colors (Black,Gold,Green,Rose Pink). I have the top pieced so today I'm writing up the pattern and quilting it. I hope to get it done for the Quilt Expo in Madison,WI. If not, she is vending at the Quilt show in Des Moines

It is so important to feel the nuturing, caring, concern, and love during a cancer survivor's battle and all acts of kindness mean so much to her and her loved ones. Let's hope these "lucky stars" brings much LUCK to her.

I am wrapping up a "cheater quilt panel" of baby teddy bears for a "neice" that should be arriving in less than a week. If I stay focused today, I should get the binding on and tonight hand stitch the last binding stitches. With all this rain, I think I might actually reach this goal.
