Default Lap Tops or Quilt Size?

or wall hanging? Which do you make more of? It seems like lap tops are more versatile, and take quicker to do... I make more of them myself...

I make bed sized quilts...queen size. I find that they are more useful than lap size.

I like full-bed size quilts. Big enough for my bed and to wrap up in, but not too big to quilt on my little machine or to carry around the house. Right now I'm trying to complete some smaller quilts for gifts, and some wall hangings for my office at work.

I make mostly lap-sized or large lap-sized quilts. Anything larger than that is too difficult/frustrating for me to quilt on my DSM. I did quilt a twin and said nasty words the whole time I was doing it. I have made a king quilt, but had to send it out for quilting; I can't afford to do that anymore.

I make WHAT-EVER size. It depends upon whether or not I plan on giving it to someone. Right now I am getting ready to make a HUGE king (pillow topped) for DD & DSIL. I guess wall hangings are the fewest quilts that I make. The largest quilts (full - king) go to the quilter, the smaller ones I usually quilt.

I like bed size quilts better. Love to be able to give as gifts and change up my bed all the time. To me lap quilts are useless and there is not enough to really cover you. Wall hangings - not enough walls.

I have all sizes from wall hangings (which are so much fun because usually they are applique and I love applique) to king size but I seem to have quite a few lap sizes around. I give a lot of lap size quilts as gifts so people can snuggle up in them. I have never made a bed size quilt for anyone but my kids...wouldn't know what colors or designs they would like to look at on their beds for a long time. So I guess lap is a good size for me. So I agree with you. They are more versatile and are great gifts!

So far I've made large lap quilts -two probably are twin size and table runners. I've mad three Spicy Spirals with more in the planning stages.
