I have tons of batiks and a lovely Moda vanilla-cream solid for the background (nine yards of it!!!) I haven't gotten the fabric for the triangles or borders, but it will be some combination of red & green.

As its your quilt its up to you exactly how fancy you make it, The patterns are just beautiful so really donīīt need embellishment. Its what you want to put into it.

It would be nice to make a more simple version...

It is a beautiful quilt, I don't plan on making one like it. I do not have the time or patience, I'm glad others do.

I'll be watching! I do have the book and CD....still working on my AOTH though and wouldn't start this one until finished with that one. Lesley (Lacelady) is so speedy! She'll have LBB knocked out in a year, so are you ready quiltwoman?

When are you planning to start?

Yes! There are a few of us hovering on starting. Mostly they are finishing off their Affairs of the Heart. Some have the book now (rather pricey, as it's out of print) and some have the CD

When were you thinking of starting, because I have just finished quilting the first border of my AOTH, so I am nearing the end of that now, and I have all the fabrics read to go.
I ordered the CD and would need someone to twist my arm to get me to go fabric shopping ;)

I ordered the CD. Thanksgiving is usually pretty quiet for us. Might be a good time to start making some leaves...of course I'd have to go and shop first

Wow, what a beautiful quilt. Too much for me to tackle. I need more instant gratification than I'd get from tackling that quilt! Would love to see pictures as you progress.
